IGH Inclusive Playground

Parks and playgrounds speak to our future. They show a community truly investing in its legacy. The encouragement and opportunity to play outdoors without barriers is important in not only teaching children about healthy lifestyles, but in helping to maintain active lifestyles for every generation.

This playground will benefit the entire community in many ways, both immediate and long term. It creates a destination within Inver Grove Heights, a true gathering place for all to enjoy.

On a Personal Note

“My cousin, Terri, spent summers with our family when I was growing up here in Inver Grove. We always had a lot of fun, except at the playground, where I could play, but Terri could not. It always bothered me that a little girl was excluded from our playground, just because she was in a wheelchair. I fully support efforts to build an inclusive playground in IGH, where kids of all abilities can play together.”
