Heritage Village Park

Heritage Village Park, located at Concord Ave, and 65th St. in Inver Grove Heights, is the apex of a plan set in motion more than a decade ago. The park is located along the western bank of the Mississippi River, where the first inhabitants decided to settle. It then became a railway hub for South St. Paul stockyards. The rail/wagon bridge spanning the river made it a major Twin City rail center. This is now Swing Bridge Park, and will be connected by trail to Heritage Village Park. The Village of Inver Grove appears on maps as early as 1886 and became incorporated in 1909. 1
The history of this area will be reflected in the railroad theme of the inclusive playground. There will also be playground equipment reminding us of the swing bridge, the old town hall, and the first schoolhouse.

The new Heritage Village Dog Park opened on June 11 of this year. This is Inver Grove Heights' first off leash dog park. It's 9 acres for all breeds with 1 acre set aside for small breeds, both having seperate entrances. Your dogs must be vaccinated for rabies and a dog pass must be purchased to use this park. All dog owners use this park at their own risk. For more information please see https//invergroveheights.org.
